High winds, dry weather bring Red Flag warnings

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for fire danger from noon today until 8 tonight (Thursday).

"Caution! Critical fire danger will develop across the Front Range Foothills, Park County, and all of the plains today as near record warmth combines with gusty winds and very low humidity", the weather service warns.

Fire concerns remain high with the recent dry spell and expected warm-up into the end of the workweek.

A Red Flag warning is in place from 11 a.m.to 7 p.m. on Wednesday and from 10 a.m.to 9 p.m. on Thursday. If you see a fire, report it immediately.

High Wind Warning and Wind Advisory are in effect for the west.
