James Comey memoir paints scathing portrait of Trump, rousing GOP furor

Practically everybody knows the dossier is a collection of lies, except Comey, who seems to know very little - save for the alleged size of Trump's hands. That was likely because John Brennan, who was Central Intelligence Agency director under former President Barack Obama, used it in a reply to Trump's tweet.

"It was my great honour to fire James Comey!".

He compares Trump to a mafia don, demanding loyalty oaths, immoral and "untethered to truth".

Like bullying. This is a media-about-media-about-media moment, so part of today's entertainment is watching how various news organizations are serving up reports of the Comey memoir in ways they think will resonate with their readers.

Watch the exclusive interview in a special edition of "20/20" on Sunday, April 15 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC. "Especially this president." "And I remember thinking, 'How could your wife think there's a 1 per cent chance you were with prostitutes peeing on each other in Moscow?' I'm a flawed human being, but there's literally zero chance that my wife would think that was true".

This was something Trump strongly denied, with Comey believing that the president wanted it investigated to reassure first lady Melania.

Trump also asked why the Democratic National Committee did not give its email server to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, or why the Federal Bureau of Investigation didn't seize it after it was hacked by Russians during the presidential campaign. She also took issue with some of Comey's personal commentary in the book, saying it was "no way to comport oneself after you're trying to prove that you have this quote, 'higher loyalty"'. Comey writes that the president gave him flashbacks to his days prosecuting the Cosa Nostra.

Third, Trump gets into his claim that there's a partisan conspiracy working against him - claiming former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe is corrupt, and that this is all somehow actually Hillary Clinton's fault.

"We find that Mr. Comey has a revisionist view of history and seems like a disgruntled ex-employee, afterall he was sacked", Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway added.
