Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed Babasaheb Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar's work for the upliftment of the marginalised communities at a public meeting in Bijapur in Chhattisgarh on Saturday.

The lady was one of the thousands of women covered under the scheme launched more than a decade earlier to provide slippers to people engaged in collecting Tendu leaves in Chhattisgarh.
