Yankees and Tigers aren't giving up after postponing Game 1

Saturday's Detroit Tigers game against the New York Yankees has been postponed due to rain, the team announced. The games will be made up in a split doubleheader on June 4.

The mixture of cold, ice, hail and snow ripping through MI postponed baseball games for the Lansing Lugnuts and the Detroit Tigers on Saturday. It's also the date of the MLB Draft for which the Tigers have the first overall selection. The Tigers were scheduled to be off, while the Yankees would have been traveling between games in Baltimore and Toronto.

Shark Attack Near Gracetown
Heats had today returned to Main Break in Prevelly but the competition was suspended after the attack. A shark attack at Cobblestones Beach near Gracetown, WA, put the event at Margaret River on hold .

This is the Yankees' only trip to Comerica Park this season, so the teams would prefer not to reschedule the game for later this summer. An April 4 postponement against the Kansas City Royals will be made up as part of a day-night doubleheader on April 20.
