9 killed in multiple blasts in Jalalabad attack

A provincial public health directorate official confirmed that the dead bodies of at least 9 people have been shifted to the hospitals along with at least 30 others who have sustained injuries.

Security forces and attackers are now fighting each other. More explosions were heard later coming from inside the building, the official added.

He said at least four attackers, armed with rocket propelled grenades and machine guns still appeared to be fighting police.

No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
