'Marvel's Agents Of SHIELD' Moving To Summer On ABC

Should Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. wrap up after Season 6 or would you like to see the series continue on?

The season will consist of 13 episodes. That's down from the usual episode count of 22, which tells us that ABC and Marvel's TV arm are still undecided when it comes to the live-action scripted drama.

The season five finale of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." airs on ABC this Friday, May 18.

The Season 5 finale will air Friday, May 18 at 9/8c on ABC.

There's no word yet if this will be Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. final season but all signs point towards this being the swan song for the Marvel series. Many fans assumed that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 6 would serve as a mid-season replacement and lead into the second part of Avengers: Infinity War.

He's by no means the only MCU character poised for a big return, mind you, given Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden's standalone movie also features Lee Pace (Ronan the Accuser) and Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) among its enormous cast list.

The series stars Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Chloe Bennet as Agent Daisy Johnson, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons, Henry Simmons as Agent Alphonso "Mack" MacKenzie, and Natalia Cordova-Buckley as Elena Rodriguez.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is returning. Could that mean that season six will be the true end for "S.H.I.E.L.D."? So while the wait may be long, the future may also be bright for the Marvel series' small but active fanbase.
