The design is nearly identical to the J7 (2018) but the display is likely an IPS LCD spec. Samsung did not reveal the processor type, RAM, battery and storage capacity of the J3 (2018). The two cameras at the back of the phone have been aligned horizontally, which is similar to the orientation of the Galaxy Note 8, but cameras are likely to be more enhanced. On the Galaxy Note 8 the sensor was awkwardly close to the cameras, creating the potential for fingerprint smudges on your camera lens (it was worse on the Galaxy S8). On paper, the Galaxy J7 (2018) should offer pretty much the same camera quality as the 2017 model unless there are some significant software optimizations.
Other specs leaked so far include a dual rear camera which, according to this latest render, will feature the lenses sat side by side. For both handsets, Samsung hasn't mentioned the battery capacity but only stated that the smartphone will have a "long-lasting" battery.
This year's J3 has 5- and 8-megapixel shooters on the front and back, respectively, compared to last year's 2- and 5-megapixel sensors; the new J7 sports 13-megapixel cameras on both sides, similarly improved over 2017's J7, which had the same cameras as this year's J3. The Galaxy Note 9 will have a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 2960 x 1440 resolution. With the J7, you're getting a 5.5-inch HD screen, 13MP f/1.7 rear camera, and 13MP f/1.9 sensor on the front.
