Trump arrives in Quebec for G7 summit, wants Russian Federation invited back

President Trump has been privately griping about attending the G7 meeting in Canada this weekend, telling aides it would be a distraction while he was preparing for his summit next week with Kim Jong-un, a new report said Thursday.

"Russia should be at this meeting", Trump told reporters in Washington as he left the White House to fly to Canada. "He has all this smoke surrounding what may or may not have happened during the campaign with Russia and with his campaign, and instead of backing off of it, instead of distancing himself, we continue to see him run directly towards Vladimir Putin, nearly as if there is no concern whatsoever for Vladimir Putin meddling in our elections, for Russians shooting down a commercial plane... for Russia annexing Crimea--which is the reason why they're not in the G-8!"

Russia was ousted from the elite group in 2014 as punishment for President Vladimir Putin's annexation of Crimea and its support for pro-Russian separatists in Ukraine.

Trump's presidency has been clouded by a federal investigation into Russian meddling into the 2016 US election and possible coordination by people in Trump's campaign. The interview was recorded on Thursday - before Trump's call for Russian Federation to be readmitted to the Group of Seven countries - and published on Saturday.

Trump says he hopes to resolve what he considers unfair trade agreements with US allies during his time at the G-7 summit in Quebec on Friday and Saturday.

America's closest allies are prepared to confront Trump over metals tariffs he imposed on Canada, Mexico and the European Union.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in a statement that "Russia is focused on other formats, apart from the G7".

His eighth straight appearance didn't go well either, and now there's uncertainty where the superstar will play next. Durant, LeBron James (2016) and Andre Iguodala (2015) are the three recipients of the honor in the past four years.

"I hope that it will happen, at least we are ready for that and I think that the ball is in the U.S. court", the Russian president stressed.

This is Mr Putin's first visit this year to China, which Beijing billed as "boasting great significance in planning the future course of China-Russia relations".

"A lot of things deserve to be criticized" in Trump's actions, Putin said.

"Canada's position is absolutely clear that there are no grounds whatsoever for bringing Russian Federation, with its current behaviour, back into the G7", Freeland said in La Malbaie.

Trump injected further uncertainty recently when he floated the idea of replacing NAFTA with two separate trade deals, one with each country.

Trump will then duck out mid-morning to begin his almost 20-hour journey to Singapore where he is expected to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un on June 12, a tete-a-tete created to encourage the rogue state to end its nuclear program.

But Mr Trump predicted the G7 countries would agree on a joint statement after holding talks with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Walmart and Kroger are cooperating with the investigation and have removed all cut melon associated with the outbreak. In rare cases, Salmonella infection can cause death unless the person is treated promptly with antibiotics.

Over the course of his presidency, Trump has inflamed allies with his isolationist policies, including withdrawing the U.S. from the Paris climate accord and the worldwide Iran nuclear agreement.

Trump has left little doubt he has grown impatient with his northern neighbour, tweeting at French President Emmanuel Macron and Trudeau, with his volleys growing increasingly personal towards the Canadian prime minister. "The rules-based worldwide order is being challenged", Mr. Tusk said.

Russian Federation rejoining Canada, the United States, Japan, Britain, Italy, France and Germany in the group of rich nations wasn't even on the agenda as European members of the G7 agreed that conditions were not ripe for Russian Federation to be readmitted so long as the Ukraine crisis was not resolved.

"The American president may not mind being isolated", Macron tweeted, "but neither do we mind signing a 6-country agreement if need be".

The issue of tariffs however may loom largest over Friday's talks.

"Prime Minister Trudeau is being so indignant, bringing up the relationship that the USA and Canada had over the many years and all sorts of other things ... but he doesn't bring up the fact that they charge us up to 300 per cent on dairy - hurting our Farmers, killing our Agriculture!"

Whether it remains a unilateral action or not, US forces will remain prepared to respond to any Taliban attacks, Nicholson said. Ghani is seeking to build momentum around a new peace initiative he unveiled earlier this year.
