A new NFL policy announced last month allows dissenting players to stay in the locker room during the national anthem but Trump said "maybe they shouldn't be in the country".
According to a report from ESPN, Trump spoke to reporters and revealed neither the Golden State Warriors or Cleveland Cavaliers will be invited to the White House. "We're not going to invite either team", he said. "When somebody says they don't want to come to the White House, he disinvites them".
Curry is referencing last year's controversy when the Warriors declined an invitation the White House.
The Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers now are playing for the NBA's championship but Trump said on Friday the victor would not be coming to the White House.

The players' comments come a day after Trump called off the Philadelphia Eagles scheduled trip to the White House, citing the ongoing National Football League kneeling controversy.
