Planet 600 Light Years Away From Earth Discovered by Indian Scientists

The researchers found the it has a compact system of at least three rocky planets of similar size to the Earth that orbit the star in much less time than earth does the Sun, being every 5.2, 7.8 and 10.1 days, respectively. With this, India joins the elite club of countries that have discovered planets. It has the name EPIC 211945201 (K2-236) and thus, the planet has been given the name EPIC 211945201B (K2-236B). The team found the planet to be smaller in size than Saturn and bigger than Neptune. It revolves around the star in about 19.5 days.

Paras spectrograph has also made independent measurements of the mass of the planet body as data from Nasa's K2 (Kepler2) photometry could not confirm the nature of the system.

Bitcoin hits two-month low after South Korean exchange hacked
Coinrail said in a statement on its website that it's inspecting its systems due to hacking attempts. The Korean National Police Agency didn't immediately reply to a request for comment.

That's why the discovery of this super-Neptune planet is of great importance for the Indian astronomers as it is the first exoplanet this country's scientists have ever identified on their own. The detection also adds to a sparse catalogue of 22 other confirmed exoplanet systems that have a mass and radius in this range, ISRO said. "Very few such spectrographs exist around the world (mostly in the US and in the Europe) that can do such precise measurements", the space agency said on its website late on June 8.

Ahmedabad, India, have identified a new exoplanet, a super-Neptune planet, situated at 600 million light-years far from the Earth.

Migrant rescue ship denied right to dock in Italy and Malta
Dalli accused the Italian government of breaching worldwide maritime laws by refusing to allow the Aquarius to berth in its ports. The Maltese Rescue Coordination Center "is neither the competent nor the coordinating authority", the statement said.

The Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) and the University of Oviedo presented the discovery of two new planetary systems, one of them hosting three planets with the same size of the Earth. The star's effective temperature is estimated at 3,450 Kelvin degrees, which is almost one and a half times less than that of the sun. PRL scientists, who observed the target for about 1.5 years with the spectrograph, made calculations which suggested that heavy elements like ice, silicates and iron content make 60%-70% of the total mass.

Going forward, the researchers plan to use the upcoming James Webb space telescope to investigate what the atmosphere of these new planets is like, which could give us a big clue as to whether or not they'd be able to support life.

It's beyond a dream, Nadal says of 11th French Open title
The Spaniard has also been more effective coming to the net, winning 11 of 13 points, while Thiem has won two of eight. These are some of the mind-boggling numbers that Nadal has managed to achieve on his favourite surface over the years.
