U.S. President Donald Trump showed North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un an intense and strongly worded video montage ahead of their joint press conference, which immediately raised eyebrows. Apparently, it's a thing to make your own Hollywood-style trailer for the dictator you are meeting at a historic summit if you are the president of the United States. "We'll solve the big problem, the big dilemma, that until this point has been unable to be solved", Trump said.

And speaking several hours into their meeting, Trump said it had been: "A really fantastic meeting".

Speaking following a one-on-one meeting with Trump, Kim said he hoped the two leaders could avoid the mistakes of the past.

"I want to express my gratitude to President Trump to make this meeting happen".

"We´ll meet again", Trump said after a signing ceremony, standing with Kim on the verandah where they first met. As they entered, Trump injected some levity to the day's extraordinary events, saying: "Getting a good picture everybody?" A buoyant Trump then addresses the photographers, saying: "Getting a good picture everybody - so we all look nice, handsome and thin and flawless".

Then they dined on beef short rib confit along with sweet and sour crispy pork.

Trump appeared to be in a good spirits as he answered questions for nearly an hour following a day of meetings with Kim and other North Korean officials.

Furthermore, President Trump promised to provide security guarantees to North Korea in exchange for Kim Jong Un's "firm and unwavering commitment to complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula". Kim has been accused of horrific rights abuses against his people.
