Roy Moore says he's among political figures duped by TV show

He's the man who brought the world Ali G, Borat and Bruno - and Sacha Baron Cohen surprised us all last week by announcing his return to TV in new series Who Is America?

The satirical seven-episode series, which premiered Sunday on Showtime, sees Cohen adopt different personas to interview unsuspecting public figures in a caricature of the American political and cultural climate in the era of Donald Trump. Before you start checking out those Showtime subscriptions a full segment from the show is now up online, and it features Cohen's new character, Col. Erran Morad, an Israeli anti-terrorism expert who has an idea how to make America safer.

In the clips, Cohen gets a myriad of these people to support his "Kinder-Guardians" programme.

During the discussion with "Morad", Wilson discussed the merits of arming very young students as a deterrent to school shootings.

Israel adopts divisive Jewish nation-state law
Israel's parliament has passed a controversial law characterising the country as principally a Jewish state. Already coined in a fundamental rule, no one can deny now that Israel is a Jewish state.

Walsh turns up during that sequence, which also includes former MS senator Trent Lott and GOP congressmen Matt Gaetz, Dana Rohrabacher and Joe Wilson.

Trent Lott, the former Senate Majority Leader from MS, stares directly into a camera and endorses arming "highly-trained pre-schoolers".

On the series premiere of Who Is America? "Just do not forget to point Puppy Pistol's mouth right in the middle of the bad man, if he has a big tummy, point at that", Van Cleave says without the slightest hint of wrongdoing.

Walsh, who has strong pro-Israel views, said he was invited to a dinner for defenders of Israel and asked to film an interview. Cohen's character said its objective was to arm children from the ages of 3 to 16 years old in Israel.

I will say this: "I don't see any reason why it would be, but I really do want to see the server". Earlier this year, he said he felt the GOP had "left" him and " many others".

"In less than a month, a first grader can become a first grenader", Walsh says.

Shortly after the promo for the show aired, a number of high-profile politicians came forward to say they were tricked by Baron Cohen to participate in the show.

"After they conducted an interview, they had me read off of a teleprompter talking about some of the innovative products that Israel invented", said the former congressman. "And that was an example of how Israel trains and arms preschool kids on how to use firearms, and boy shouldn't we do that in America?"

Walsh said he didn't realize until 3 a.m. the next morning that he'd been "duped".

The airline apologised to passengers for yesterday's "systems issue", which lead to a backlog for passengers and a number of cancellations.

Former vice presidential nominee and ex-Alaska governor Sarah Palin will also feature in the series, admitting on Wednesday she was duped into an interview with Baron Cohen who was disguised as a disabled United States veteran.
