DJI Mavic 2 drone leak confirms Pro and Zoom models

The Mavic 2 Zoom offers a with a 24mm-48mm zoom lens allowing for in-camera dolly zoom shots, one of the more popular shots drone operators use but had previously required lossy post production techniques to achieve. If this catalog leak is any indication, the arrival of new drones could be imminent.

While DJI was yet to announce the features of Mavic 2 Pro drone, the Argos catalogue has already published the photos and technical specifications of the model.

IS claims Tajikistan attack that killed 4 foreign cyclists
The four tourists died after a vehicle struck them in Khatlon Oblast, a region south of Tajikistan's capital, Dushanbe. Last year, Asia-Plus reported that over a thousand Tajik citizens have been fighting in the ranks of Islamic State .

Anyway, what does the leak tell us about DJI's new drones?

While previous rumors had suggested that we may get a removable gimbal as part of the Mavic 2, we now know that does not appear to be the case, but what we will get is two different versions dubbed the Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Zoom. However, it seems to lack a zoom lens. No pricing information is displayed in the catalog, but the new drones would be expected to retail for a similar price to the Mavic Pro at around $1,200 RRP. Thanks to a mistakenly published advertisement in a United Kingdom retailer's catalogue, DJI had to confirm a few specs and features ahead of the drones' official reveal. Buyers can also look forward to "omnidirectional obstacle sensing", which means even more obstacle-avoidance sensors than the Pro, and more than the more recent Mavic Air, which has front, back and bottom sensors.

But it's still the first time a sensor of this kind will feature in a drone this capable and small. Now, more details have emerged about its successor, which will apparently arrive in two specs.

A DJI spokesperson commented "This pre-printed catalogue was scheduled before we postponed our "See the Bigger Picture" event to ensure we can deliver high-quality, cutting-edge technology to our customers according to our standard of innovation". We're not sure to what extent DJI's partnership with Hasselblad is that resulted in this camera, so this is something we'll just have to wait and see.
