Lemon pointed out James's recent decision to open a school in OH for at-risk 3rd and 4th graders as evidence that James was no "dummy" in a tweet after Trump wrote Friday that Lemon had managed to make James look intelligent, which he said wasn't "easy to do".

After watching that interview, President Donald Trump took a shot at Lemon and stated he made LeBron look smart, seemingly calling him stupid.

Trump then made a pointed shot at James in the famous National Basketball Association "greatest of all time" debate by saying he preferred Michael Jordan over James.

The NBA great admitted to having "jitters" before the opening, an event he said is "going to be one of the greatest moments - if not the greatest - of my life". James' publicist declined to respond to Trump's tweet, but Lemon did, invoking both the administration's forced-family-separations policy and first lady Melania Trump's social media etiquette campaign.

James, who this month ended his second stay with the Cleveland Cavaliers by signing with the Los Angeles Lakers, has opened a public school for challenged children in his hometown.

There's nothing substantive about Trump's tweet. Lemon tweeted. "A man who puts kids in classrooms or one who puts kids in cages?"
