COWBOY NINJA VIKING Removed From Universal's Release Schedule

The upcoming movie Cowboy Ninja Viking, starring Chris Pratt and Priyanka Chopra, has been removed from Universal Pictures' release schedule.

The production studios suggest that the film will get another release date at a later time to solve the production scheduling issue. He already has Jurassic World with Universal, which released Fallen Kingdom this summer to huge box office numbers.

It's been a crappy week if you're a member of the Guardians Of The Galaxy, to say the least.

Cowboy Ninja Viking was originally slated for a June 2019 release date, but Collider's report also states that "the studio wasn't eager to rush to meet that release date" because "it has franchise hopes for the property".

Reportedly the movie was supposed to start shooting in London next month.

Priyanka signed the film after walking out of Ali Abbas Zafar's Bharat, 10 days before her portion of the shoot was to begin. Still listed as being in "active development", there's no word yet on if and when the adaptation will get off the ground again - or even what caused the problem in the first place.

Violence continues in Bangladesh capital as students protest

The novel revolves around an assassin who manifests the toughest skills of three different personas: a cowboy, a ninja, and a viking. The movie will be action heavy, while still aiming for a PG-13 rating.

Dan Mazeau (Wrath of the Titans) and Ryan Engle (Rampage) wrote the most recent draft of the script. Craig Mazin (The Hangover II) wrote an earlier draft, while the original draft was written by Deadpool writers Paul Wernick and Everett David Reese. Guymon Casady, Ben Forkner and Mark Gordon are producing this unique take on the comic book genre. This was before he was the [Cowboy Ninja Viking] we know.
