Orange Is the New Black star Ruby Rose has been cast as Kate Kane, a.k.a. Batwoman, The CW officially announced this morning. No other network has successfully pulled off as many ambitious crossovers as the network with Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl being the shows that have seen their stars cross over into other series for epic four-part events.
In the series, Kate Kane, armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city's criminal resurgence. "Vampire Diaries" creator Caroline Dries, who will write and executive produce "Batwoman", is gay. This Batwoman is a modern take on the super hero, who was introduced into the DC Comic-verse in 2006. On TV, Batwoman first appeared in animated series Batman: The Brave and the Bold, which premiered on Cartoon Network in 2008.
"Ruby Rose is Batwoman, coming to The CW's crossover event this December!"
1.3K Cricket England Announce Big Changes in the Test Squad!
England's James Anderson, meanwhile, has retained his position as the top-ranked Test bowler. Pope, asked if he would be ready to bat at number four, replied: "If required, yes".
The coveted role of Kate Kane a.k.a. Batwoman has been filled! Selfishly, we'd love to see Batwoman swoop in early for the High Holidays and reserve the best seats for her and her girlfriend, a Gotham police officer. She also starred in the film, which became a viral hit, and was awarded with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award at the 2016 GLAAD Media Awards.
With such a long career in comics, Batwoman will certainly make a great addition to the Arrowverse as the DC TV universe prepares to explore Gotham City.
It was in that vacuum, and in the wake of the hugely successful Adam West Batman television series in the 1960s, that Batgirl rose to a more prominent position in the Batman canon.

Stan Kroenke's takeover of Arsenal could put his personal fortune at risk if he fails to keep up repayments. Usmanov's dedication to the Arsenal Football Club and the storied ethos and history the club represents".
The CW also confirmed that the character will be a lesbian - meaning that if the show is picked up, she will be the first gay character to lead a live-action superhero TV show.
This is a logical move for both Ruby Rose and The CW.
