Cobie Smulders, who plays Fury's pal Maria Hill, will join Jackson in the sequel, Vulture also reports. Jake Gyllenhaal is also all but confirmed to play Quentin Beck, better known as his evil, mind-bending alter-ego, Mysterio. Let us know down below! Tom Holland and the rest of the principle cast will return for the sequel. Both were last scene in the post-credits sequence of Avengers: Infinity War, when it was revealed that they were both victims of Thanos' snap, but not before Fury was able to get a message to Captain Marvel, who is presumably somewhere out among the stars in the present of the MCU timeline.

As of right now, Spider-Man: Far From Home is shooting in Europe, which is fitting since the film is set in Europe (you know...far from home), and will see Peter tackling his issues (and presumably Jake Gyllenhaal) overseas.

It was also revealed that players would not need to grind to unlock any stage because they will be available from the start. This mode favors players who are skilled with multiple fighters and encourages others to diversify their rosters.

Of course, we'll have to wait until Avengers 4 to learn how Nick Fury, Cobie Smulders, Peter Parker and countless others return from the dusty afterlife - and why it is that Tony Stark isn't playing mentor any longer.

This will be the first time Nick Fury and Maria Hill have encountered Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If that theory holds, it'll make three MCU films in the span of about four months for Jackson, at a time when we'd previously thought his time with Marvel might be winding down. "Who's really dead, and who's really in the flaky wind of Marvel dust, I don't know, but I do know there's a solution that they didn't even have to tell me, just because I know who Captain Marvel is and what all that means", Jackson teased in an interview to Vulture. Their involvement in the Spidey sequel has been rumored for the past few weeks with Jackson posting to Instagram from both London, England and Capri, Italy, both locations being used for the sequel.
