ACC Basketball Coach Reportedly Involved In Death Of New York Tourist

Wake Forest assistant coach Jamill Jones has been charged with assault in the case of a Queens attack that led to the death of a Florida tourist, according to The New York Post.

Jones turned himself into police Thursday afternoon and was arraigned Thursday night at Queens County Criminal Court.

Police say Jones threw a punch that killed a New York City tourist who knocked on the assistant coach's vehicle window thinking it was his Uber ride.

He died in an area hospital on Tuesday. Police say Szabo, visiting from Boca Raton, Florida, banged on the window of Jones' SUV while looking for his ride after his stepsister's wedding.

Szabo was "super outgoing, friendly, and an incredibly smart businessman", his digital marketing company, What If Media Group, wrote in a Facebook post.

"His attractive spirit and his love of life will remain with us", the company said in the Facebook post.
