Aprons were so common that we didn’t really think about it growing up. From the time we woke up in the morning, to the time we went to sleep, our mom wore her apron around the house.
They weren’t just for cooking either – they were an element of her style and a symbol of comfort. There were special aprons for the holidays, and some for spring.
From tiny rosebuds, to paisley print, to stripes and polka dots, they were a common sight in our homes. Some had ruffles, some were full aprons, others were half aprons. The best ones had pockets!
